We decided to go to Harpers Ferry on a mini vaca a couple weeks ago now. It was an absolutely beautiful day so we decided to bring our baby boy with us!

So Mr. LLB and I have been thinking of purchasing art for above our couches in our new home! The problem being, that we didn’t want to spend a ton of money and we wanted something we both loved. So we decided to do a DIY abstract art. Here is how it turned out!

What other people think of me is none of my business
-Eleanor Roosevelt

SPRING! Ok ok I know I am a day late, I mean I’m still working on catching up here! But for a post-first-day-of-spring celebration (that’s a mouthful) Mr. LLB took me out for a surprise Rita’s trip! Water ice, Italian ice, snowballs on crack; whatever name you want to give these delicious icey confections are perfectly fine by me. It is still a bit chilly here to be enjoying a frozen dessert, but like most sane people on the East Coast I am extremely desperate for hotter weather.  So I just turned the heat in the car to high and enjoyed my melty treat while pretending I was on a tropical island. And boy did I enjoy every bite! On a side quick tangent, I think sometimes I get so in the habit of eating treats and then slightly or whole heartedly regretting it as soon as I am finished, that it ruins the whole experience. Therefore, I am trying a completely new outlook on things. I recently watched the ever cheesy Eat, Pray Love and the beautiful Julia Roberts says a quote I thought was so perfect, she says:

I’m so tired of saying no, and waking up in the morning and recalling everything I ate the day before – counting every calorie I consumed so I know exactly how much self-loathing to take into the shower. I’m going for it. I have no interest in being obese, I’m just through with the guilt.

And thanks to this super corny move that I secretly love, here is the plan. I’m going to eat mostly healthy beneficial foods-which don’t get me wrong anyone who knows me knows sometimes I fail completely at this-but anyway when I do decide to enjoy a treat, I enjoy it with absolutely no regrets. I mean life is short right?! -and to Julia Roberts, you go girl!

So raise your sweet desserts and lets toast to a new and beautiful outlook on ourselves as well as a lovely new (and hopefully super hot) season!

It has certainly been a while since my last blog post, but so much crazy life has happened that blogging has not been my very first priority. But starting a new goal: blog at least 5 times a week for a month! This may be a small goal but why not start small first?

Anyways to fill you in on some exciting things that have happened..

#1. I graduated!

#2. Became a functioning member of society and got a job

Those are some of the bigger changes that have happened, but there are so many things that are different that sometimes I feel like I’m in a different person’s life! It has been such an exciting and beautiful change but it has certainly come with some challenges, however it all is worth it. Can’t wait to share with you some new and exciting upcoming adventures!

Belated post! I’ve been meaning to write this post for a very long time but for one reason or another haven’t gotten to it. I’d like to welcome our newest addition, Hank!

This little cutie was a birthday present from my sweet boyfriend. This little Boxer-Lab is just the loveliest puppy, and I am the luckiest mamma to my new little fur baby!

On Monday evening I attended a reading by David Sedaris, with my lovely aunt! It was amazing. If you have not read anything by David Sedaris, I highly suggest doing so right away. I’d start with, Naked, as it’s my favorite and it makes me laugh out loud. If the reading alone wasn’t incredible enough, we got out books signed by the author himself!

I love anything nautical.. then you add miniature into it.. could anything be more perfect? Well, that is exactly what you will find at Tiny World In A Bottle! This little shop has the cutest ships in a bottle, miniature style! They also have jellyfish, safari animals and dinosaurs! I’m so in love..

This week I visited the beautiful Omaha, Nebraska. I have traveled quite a bit within the country and I had cornfields as expectations for this city. Boy was I wrong! On a bright and perfectly beautiful day we visited quite a few places. We started off at the famous Omaha Zoo, we walked along a bridge that went from Nebraska to Iowa, then finished our day by visiting the Old World Market District for some antiquing and a quick bite to eat. If you ever find yourself in Nebraska, I definately recommend a day trip in Omaha!

Today I am posting about the (little less than lovely) but still amazing Warrior Dash! This race is a 5k that supports St. Jude Children Hospital. This race is really really fun. You get to get muddy, jump through fire, listen to great music and a lot of other fun stuff. I suggest registering as soon as possible!
